I am the Foundation Coordinator at Oryx Universal College. I teach Academic English Skills to the Foundation Year students to give them a good enough grounding in academic English to help them continue their undergraduate degree courses with LJMU.
I started my career teaching Modern Foreign Languages in the UK but then moved into teaching English as a Foreign Language. I taught in Poland and Oman before returning to the UK to coordinate English Language courses for soldiers from Nepal in the British Army. I later did an MA in English language teaching and worked as an ESOL Lecturer at a Further Education College in the UK. I then did some work on a pre-sessional university course at Durham University before moving to Qatar in 2018.
I conduct exams for Cambridge ESOL and have written materials for a German school text book and City and Guilds International ESOL exams.
